When you get married, it is one of the most important events of your adult life, one that you will want to remember and cherish for years to come. One great way to savor those memories is with scrapbooking. Walk through your local craft store, and you will find that there are entire sections devoted to scrapbooking supplies, special papers, pens, and embellishments that you can combine along with wedding photos and keepsakes to create your own wedding scrapbook. Some mementos you might want to add are flowers from your bouquet, your invitation, napkins from your reception, etc. Scrapbooking is a wonderful way to preserve these special items, so that you can share and enjoy them in the future.

To get even more items for your wedding scrapbook, talk to your wedding guests, to see if they took any photos they would be willing to pass on to you, that you may be able to add to your scrapbook. You never know when you might find that perfect, funny snapshot. Take you time, completing each special page, in whatever way pleases you. Add on photo, a caption, and some embellishments, or add many photos in a collage style, the sky really is the limit when it comes to your options here. Less is more tends to work better with scrapbooking, as it makes it easier to focus on one theme per page, but again, it is your decision.

If you find a favorite photo that you would like to use, but that maybe has a flaw in it, such as red-eyes, blinding lights, or even a thumbprint, you can use photo software to digitally correct the problem so that the photo can still be used. This software will also allow you to crop your photos, so that only the elements you want are in the photo, add borders, mats, etc.

You don't really have to spend a lot of money to create a terrific wedding scrapbook, just use a lot of creativity, time, and thought, and you will be surprised at what you come up with. You could also put your scrapbooking skills to use for others as well, creating scrapbooks of wedding days, graduation events, or other special events, and giving them as gifts to friends and family members.

If you aren't able to find the wedding scrapbooking items that you need in your local craft store, you can find many great items from merchants online. There are custom-made background papers, stamps, stencils, cut-outs, stickers, and frames that can be purchased relatively inexpensively, that can really add a personal touch to your scrapbook. If you have that creative flair and enough time on your hands, you could even craft your own scrapbook essentials, making your own paper, and embellishments. This not only makes the end result more special, but also can save you quite a bit of money on your wedding scrapbooking project as well!
